- Read Galatians 5:4-6. How are “justified/righteousness”, grace (charis), and faith (pistis) interrelated?
- What is the difference in meaning between “belief,” “trust,” and “allegiance” in common vernacular today?
- Why might it be important theologically to think of “Jesus the Christ” whenever you see “Jesus Christ”?
- How does allegiance inform what a relationship with Jesus should look like?
- Where are you showing allegiance (pistis) today?
- What would it look like for you to show allegiance (pistis) to Jesus?
Moving Forward
The Apostles’ Creed is one of the earliest and most universally accepted statements of faith. It expresses the central tenets of Christianity and tells the story of the good news of King Jesus.
This week, find time to read slowly through the Apostles’ Creed and take note of how the creed declares the good news of God’s gift (charis) in Jesus the Christ.
