In 2016, New Denver Church staff and elders announced an ongoing commitment to invest in multiplying leaders and churches around the metro-Denver area. To accomplish this goal we established the NDC Church Planting Residency.

The primary goal of the church planting residency is to cultivate, develop, and launch church planters to create healthy discipling communities. This is a four-phase process that includes evaluation and preparation, the cultivation and growth of a core team, and the launching of a public presence. The process culminates with the newly launched faith community partnering with NDC as well as other leaders and churches through the Church Cooperative of Denver (CCD). This allows the new churches we plant the freedom and autonomy to pursue their own God-given vision while still providing the opportunity to give and receive encouragement, accountability, and support for ongoing ministry. It also connects them to a broad network of pastors and churches around the city and encourages them to invest in multiplying leaders and churches themselves when the time is right.

Current Church Plants

In 2017, NDC hired our first church planting resident – Daniel “Mambo” De Leon. Mambo was born and raised in Mexico. He went to law school in Xalapa, Veracruz and got involved with the campus ministry, Cru, where he would serve as a full-time staff member for seven years. He had the opportunity to go and lead mission trips to Chile, Costa Rica, South Korea, and several cities within Mexico. In 2011, he moved to the United States to pursue a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Leadership at Denver Seminary. In 2018, Mambo and a team of gifted leaders and core group members launched Westside Church Internacional – a multi-cultural, bilingual church in west Denver. Their vision is “Loving God. Serving neighbors. Welcoming nations.”

Future Church Plants

NDC has an ongoing commitment to continue investing in planting new churches as resources, leaders, and opportunities present themselves.
