Pastoral Staff
Stephen Redden is the Pastor of Community Life and acts as representative for the staff team to the board of elders. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University (BS Computer Engineering, MBA) and Dallas Theological Seminary (MA Biblical Studies). Between 1996 and 2001 Stephen worked as an information technology specialist before joining the staff at North Point Community Church in 2001 to help lead the Community Groups ministry. Stephen married Kate in 2002, and they welcomed their first son, Ethan, in 2004 and were blessed again in 2007 with the arrival of their second son, Andrew.

Jason Malec is a graduate of the University of Virginia (BA) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MA Theology), in Boston, Massachusetts. Married for eleven years, he and Meredith have three children, Cassie (9), Abbey (6) and Jayce (4). Jason joined North Point Community Church staff in 2002, with a background in technology marketing. He loves music, the outdoors, triathlon, and family “downtime.” Jason leads our Family Ministries environments for preschool and elementary age children, as well as middle and high school students.Connect with Jason at:

Norton Herbst oversees worship, teaching, and administration at New Denver Church. He graduated from Virginia Tech (BS Engineering) and Denver Seminary (Master of Divinity). After spending several years as an engineer, Norton held ministry positions at churches in Austin, Denver, and Atlanta. Norton is married to Janis and they have three children ages 2 and under (!): Townsend, Ellory, and Marin. In their free time, Norton and Janis enjoy spending time outdoors, reading good books, and drinking great coffee. They fell in love with Denver during seminary and are excited about being part of this vision for an amazing city.Connect with Norton at:
Leadership Development Program – Associate Staff
Mike Hartle is the LDP Associate with Community Engagement, working with the New Denver staff team to promote and build community, both within the church body and also throughout the city. Mike is a graduate of Ohio University (BS), Edinboro University of PA (M.Ed) and he is currently a student at Denver Seminary where he is working towards his MA in Leadership as well as his Certificate in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. His professional background includes work as a product support specialist for a Detroit-based tech company; a certified personal fitness trainer; and an instructor of health and physical education at Edinboro University in Northwest PA. Mike has been married to Sheila for 10 years and they have two active sons, Gabriel (4) and Jonas (2).

Drew Hill is the LDP Associate with Service Programming. Drew is a graduate of the University of North Carolina (BA Communications) at Chapel Hill and currently finishing up a Masters of Divinity (Youth/Family Ministry) at Denver Seminary. Drew and his wife Natalie have been married for 5 years and have a baby girl named Honey Cate. Natalie is also in school at Denver Seminary pursuing her Masters in Counseling. Drew has held ministry positions at churches in NC and GA and spent 6 years on staff with Young Life. Drew loves to listen to country music, drink sweet tea, and claims to be semi-pro in foosball. He splits his collegiate allegiances between the Tarheels and Georgia Bulldogs, depending on if its basketball or football season.Connect with Drew at:

Chris Chancey is the LDP associate for Family Ministries at New Denver Church. Chris graduated from the University of Georgia with a focus in Advertising and is enjoying his first year of marriage with his wife, Sarah. In search of the world’s best cinnamon roll, they made their way from Georgia to the West. Finally appeasing their tastebuds with a Duffeyroll right here in Denver, they decided to settle down for a few years. Chris is now pursuing a Master of Divinity in Leadership from Denver Seminary and can be found studying at the Duffeyroll most hours of the night. Chris has been involved in youth and children’s ministry with churches from coast to coast through Winshape Camps, Lifeway Christian Ministries, and SWAT Ministries. Chris is excited to help create energetic and positive environments at New Denver for kids to experience God’s love in a NEW way.Connect with Chris at:
