Moving Beyond Belief

December 23, 2010

The new year is a fresh start. It’s a chance to look back on your life, evaluate where you are, and think about where you’re headed. It’s an opportunity to rethink some things in your life and begin anew. But where do you start? How do you avoid mistakes of the past and forge a better future? In this new series we’ll explore the book of Colossians, a letter written long ago to a new church like us and to people who were also looking to make a fresh start with their lives. Join us January 2, 9, 16, and 23 as we explore this ancient book for clues to help us move beyond belief and into life.

The Gospel of Ruth, Part 5 – A Christmas Story

December 19, 2010

The story of Ruth is a lot bigger than we think. It’s not just about Ruth and Naomi; it’s also about Israel. And it’s not only about Israel; it’s also about us and our lives today. Because ultimately, the story of Ruth is a Christmas story–a celebration of the Savior born for us!

No Worship Service on December 26th

December 15, 2010

New Denver Church will have regular worship services on December 19, but we will not be hosting a worship service on the day after Christmas, December 26th! Why, you might ask?

Certainly, we believe Christmas is important and throughout the month of December we’re celebrating Advent as we prepare to remember the birth of Christ. But we also believe that it’s a good time of the year to spend with family and friends, and maybe more importantly, to rest and reflect on God’s presence in your life. As a result, we encourage you to take the week of Christmas to do just that. We’ll resume our normal schedule on January 2nd.

The Gospel of Ruth, Part 4 – God’s Hand in Our Redemption

December 12, 2010

The book of Ruth is a beautiful story of God’s work in the lives of Noami, Ruth, and Boaz. But it’s not just any story–it’s the story of God’s gracious work in the lives of all people. And there’s one theme that comes shining through. Listen and find out.

The Gospel of Ruth, Part 3 – God’s Hand in Our Boldness

December 5, 2010

Sometimes we need to wait on God. Other times, he calls us to step out in faith. Not the kind of faith that is timid, shy or hampered by lingering doubts. But faith that takes risks and leaves the results up to God. That’s bold faith. And that’s the story of Ruth.
