The Gospel of Ruth, Part 2 – God’s Hand in Our Need

November 28, 2010

All of us have gone through a difficult season at one time or another. And like Naomi and Ruth, we wonder if God really cares or if he’ll ever answer our prayers. He does and he will–but perhaps not in the way we anticipate. Yet, when we seek refuge in God from the storms of life, his grace shows up in the most unexpected of ways.

The Gospel of Ruth, Part 1 – God’s Hand In Our Suffering

November 21, 2010

We all go through times when life gets tough. When setbacks, pain, and failure drive us to the point of brokenness, bitterness, and ultimately, emptiness. From our standpoint, it seems like God’s hand is somehow against us. That’s the story of Naomi in Ruth, chapter one. But her story doesn’t end there. And neither does ours

Time of Your Life, Part 5 – Today in Light of Eternity

November 14, 2010

This week we continue with our series Time of Your Life. Time is our most valuable asset. We wear watches and glance at the clock so we don’t lose track of time. Yet there’s something more important than knowing what time it is . . . it’s knowing what to do with our time.

What if there’s more to this life than this life? How would we live? How should we live? What if our time on earth is but a shadow of what’s to come? How should eternity affect our perspective on the past, present, and future?

You know how little projects can just pile up around your house? Well our church home is the same way! We’ve got some projects to improve and maintain our meeting facility, and we could use your help. So mark your calendars for Saturday, December 4 from 9:00am-12:00pm and join us to knock out some work! Kids are welcome, but we won’t have childcare so bring them at your discretion. Also, we’ll provide lunch when we finish working.

Time of Your Life, Part 4 – The Gift of Rest

November 7, 2010

This week we continue with our series Time of Your Life. Time is our most valuable asset. We wear watches and glance at the clock so we don’t lose track of time. Yet there’s something more important than knowing what time it is . . . it’s knowing what to do with our time.

In our busy lives, it’s rare to have time to rest. But the Scriptures talk about rest as one of God’s greatest gifts to humanity. Join us this Sunday night as we continue our series Time Of Our Lives, and explore what God has to say about finding time to rest.
