How to Be Rich, Part 2 – Give
September 26, 2010
We spend most of our lives trying to get rich. But we rarely feel rich. What if we already have the very thing that we’re chasing, and we don’t even realize it? What if we just need to learn how to be rich?
This week we begin the process of rearranging our financial priorities around the idea that “The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it” (Psalm 24:1). If everything is God’s and we’re just managers, how can we be the best managers possible?

Bridging the Gap
September 5, 2010
There is a gap between what happens in church on Sunday mornings and what happens at school, or in the office, or at home on Monday mornings. It’s a gap between truth and life – the way you know you should live and the way life really unfolds. So how do you bridge that gap? How do you bridge the gap between thinking forgiveness is a good idea and actually forgiving? Between believing God is in control and actually making decisions that reflect that reality?

Neighborhood Fall Festival
September 3, 2010
There’s a chill in the air. The kids are back in school. Football season has started. It’s hard to believe, but Fall is here! To celebrate, New Denver is throwing a party for our neighborhood. On Saturday, September 18th from 1:00-4:00pm, we will host our first Neighborhood Fall Festival on the front lawn of the church building (700 Bonnie Brae Blvd).
We’ll have hot dogs and hamburgers for the kids, plus bouncy houses, face painting, and games! For adults we’ll be smoking up some BBQ and will even have some games for you to play! So join us on September 18th for an afternoon of Fall fun. Oh, and if you have friends in the Wash Park/Bonnie Brae/Corrie Merril neighborhoods, be sure to invite them!
Thanks to everyone who came to this year’s festival – especially our great volunteers who made it happen. Here are some pictures from the day:
