Follow the Leader, Part 2 – Counting the Cost

June 29, 2010

We all want to be part of changing something about our world. Maybe you’re passionate about finding a cure for cancer, or protecting our environment, or maybe it’s closer to home, like improving the quality of your kids’ school or your neighborhood park. So how do you start a movement that changes the world in some positive way? Certainly it takes a great leader. But the people that show up to follow make all the difference.

This week we continue our exploration of the start of the Jesus movement. Many people came to Jesus wanting to follow him but chose not to. Why did some choose to follow but others didn’t? Is there something Jesus can teach us about the cost of being something significant?
