January Second Sunday Project
January 3, 2010
This month we are kicking off our new Second Sunday initiative. We couldn’t think of a better way to start than by working with Habitat for Humanity to help them kick off the historic new Bails neighborhood project here in Denver. The Bails neighborhood project is Habitat’s first transit-oriented green community build. They will be constructing 24 townhouses in 5 buildings to create 1 community. New Denver has partnered with other churches in our area to form the Future Faith Network. Together over the next four months we will contribute the time and money required to build one townhouse in the community.
Next week there are ten volunteer spots on Friday, January 8th and ten spots on Saturday, January, 9th. To sign up to serve with us go to the Future Faith Network volunteer website. Move fast, because these slots will surely fill up fast. If all the slots are filled, feel free to go ahead and sign up for any future build days designated for New Denver or open to all churches in the network. Or you can check out one of our other local partners to find another opportunity to join us to worship God by serving together in the community.

Got something to say?

If you live in Denver, we would love to get to know you, let you get to know us, and answer any questions you may have about the church. So let us buy you a cup of coffee! Just
Both Toni and I had a great day on Saturday, January 9th. We helped install floor joists and laid the 2nd level floor. It was a great opportunity to share with other people and build great homes for people in Denver. We hope to see more people there on Saturday, February 13th.
