Finally here
January 28, 2009

From Alpharetta, GA to Dickson, TN to St Louis, MO to Russell, KS to Denver, CO. 1500 miles. Four days of driving with two adults, an eighteen-month old, a four-year old, and a dog. It was a long trip, but we finally made it! We rolled into Denver at around 4:30pm today, and we are so excited to be here.
490 Miles Closer

We have now seen five states and covered more than 1100 miles as we work our way across the country. We left St. Louis this morning headed toward Kansas – hopefully the last overnight stop along the way before we roll into Denver tomorrow (weather permitting). The highlight from today was definitely lunch.

While indications all pointed to a smooth closing, I have to admit that I was holding my breath until we signed all the papers and had the check in hand.
Thankfully, everything went great with the closing. God not only answered our prayer to sell our house, but he answered our prayer to send people who shared our faith and might continue to be used to represent Christ in the neighborhood. The couple who bought our house is a great young couple who attends North Point and are very excited to own their first home. Our prayer is that they enjoy the house as much as we did.
Packing
January 5, 2009

It is unbelievable how quickly “stuff” accumulates. I have become acutely aware of that once again over the last couple weeks as we garage sale, give away, and throw away “stuff” to get down to the things we really want to pack up and haul across the country to Denver. As we are packing up our “stuff” and preparing to move, Andy started a new sermon series on finances here at North Point yesterday called Balanced. Read more
