Cool Denver Connection

October 13, 2008

Stephen and I participated in a mini-conference today called Sundays at North Point (even thought it’s monday). It’s an opportunity for church staff and leaders to visit our church and get a behind the scenes tour of how everything works. It’s always an encouragement to hear these guests react to what we’re doing, and, more importantly, how excited they are to take it back and personalize it for their context.

Anyway, after our teaching time, I met a guy named Josh Weidmann. Josh is an associate pastor at Colorado Community Church in south metro Denver. He introduced himself, and then proceeded to share his excitement about our coming to Denver to start a church. He reiterated numerous times how he and the staff of CCC would do all they could to help us out in any way they could.

I write this because 1) obviously, we hope every church leader has the same reaction and views us as partners in kingdom-building, and 2) I hope I am as encouraging as Josh was to folks coming to a new place. He literally could not have been more gracious and courteous. So, thanks Josh!
